METALLIC CAT (6) franked some good trial form, and made an immediate impression on debut when finishing a close second by a head in a similar field over 5 ½f at Warwick Farm a fortnight ago. With that run under her belt, she looks well placed to go one better. LONTRICE (2) showed talent in his only start back in November when third over 6 ¼f at Canterbury, and he will be even stronger this year. He has been to the fore at a recent Rosehill trial, and his first win is not far away. COSMIC EAGLE (8) closed off strongly at Canberra over 6 ½f last start, finishing just half a length away from the winner there 17 days ago. She would not mind a wet track, and she can take this out. ALADDIN'S GIRL (7) made progress in her initial spring campaign. Watch for her late in this.
