Verdict

WESTERN JET (4) finished off strongly to get the job done on resumption, scoring by 0.2L in an impressive maiden win. The form has already been franked and Pike now hops on board. Looks a progressive type who can bring up back-to-back wins. MILITARY JANE (12) sat handy and won as a 100-1 pop last start at Belmont in a big turnaround in her form. She rates highly on the back of that effort though and racing on the bigger tracks may be the key. Remains down in the weights and can feature in the finish again. MIGHTY HOSANNA (2) is better than she showed last start when tiring in Saturday company. Back to the midweeks is a good move, and the form out of her last two races has been strong. Has the speed to offset the wide barrier and can bounce back to form. BANNERED (5) is not to be discounted with CJP now hopping on board. BONDI BAY (6) is worth including first-up.
