Verdict

SISU SPIRIT (2) was given a good steer at Bunbury last time out when flying from the back to score by 0.5L. Drawn out again, but that seems to be suiting his racing pattern and the figure he turned in last time stacks right up. Rises in weight but can repeat the dose. HERE FOR CHEQUES (4) just missed two back before a 5.3L defeat at Belmont in Saturday grade. Back to this level now suits him much better and his prior performances suggested he was nearing a drought breaking win. IMPRESSIVE JEWEL (6) improved last start coming back to this track and trip, sticking on to finish 2.5L off the winner. Pike hops on now and if she can run up to her latest effort, she'll be in this for a very long way. CELEBRITY PRINCE (5) can improve getting out to the mile for the first time. ELEGANT RULER (7) can bounce back in a more suitable race today.

Sisu Spirit silk

Recent form sound. At the latest run won by 0.5 len at Bunbury Cl5 July 30 over 1 m on a rain affected track defeating Our Mate Archie with 122lbs at $7.50. Before that ran on from midfield, 3rd of 14 at this track Cl3 on July 22 over 1m, 2.25 len behind Vexatious Rose with 130lbs at $6.50. Got a good steer last start to win and would just have to run up to that effort again to be repeating the dose.
