Verdict

HILLSIDE AVENUE (5) just missed in a Belmont trial before resuming there with a nose defeat over 6f. She led in that and is likely to do the same here. Well-placed back in grade with the extra fitness. Can go one better. AXOPAR (6) picked up well beaten 1L in the same contest. She also has plenty of scope for improvement, and third up now is the threat. OUR MANE MAN (1) did a good job over 6f at Bunbury, beaten 1.4L. Has been kept on the fresh side, and the winkers go on. He can feature in the finish this time. ALL THE RAGE (3) started at big odds in the Hillside Avenue race at Belmont on debut, and it wasn't a bad effort, beaten 3.5 lengths. He may get close with that run under the belt.
