WAR MATTERS (5) flew home at Ascot last start after jumping the race favourite, finishing 2.6L off the winner in a CL3. Out to 1 ¼m now looks a good move, as does getting to a spacious track like Pinjarra. Can sit much closer than we've seen in recent events and he looks a key player. FULMINE (13) stepped out to 1 5/16m last start and got the job done impressively at Belmont, running over the top to score by 0.8L. Fiore rides now, though she remains down in the weights and she's open to plenty of improvement again with this being just her fifth start. May need some luck from the inside barrier, but she's good enough to knock this over. DANDY'S GEM (6) wasn't beaten far last start over 1 ?m at Ascot when stepping into Saturday grade. Back to this level looks ideal now and the 7lbs claim gets her in nicely at the weights. Can sit handy and be hard to hold out. REEL SERENITY (9) can fire a shot third-up. MODELISTIC (7) can improve now third-up and out in trip.
