MARINE GIRL (11) returned from a brief spell under new trainer Nick Olive last start and the mare did a good job to hold on for a close third over 6f at Queanbeyan after leading for much of the way. Kept fresh since that run a month ago. Being tried over this trip for the first time and it should suit her down to the ground. CHICO CASINO (3) met with heavy support but after showing pace to the bend gave in meekly last Monday over 6f at Dubbo. Likes racing here and did fill a placing at the only attempt at 5f. Worth another chance. DESIROUS (5) continued her fine recent form when runner-up in a similar race to this at Dubbo seven days ago. Short course specialist who will be thereabouts again. MISS CAPRICORN (1) has been kept fresh since charging home for second in a BM66 over today's journey at Dubbo a month ago. Big chance in this easier race. DAME ANNIE (8) resumes after a five-month spell. Opened last prep with a win at Cowra so must be respected.
