BIRD ON A WIRE (2) returned with a narrow defeat before a 2.9L defeat at Belmont most recently in a stronger race. Back to this level looks ideal and she's a third-up winner in the past. Can sit handy from the draw and he makes plenty of appeal back to this easier assignment. CALL OF DUTY (1) has improved his past couple, just being caught late when out to 7f last start. Back in grade today is a bonus and he steps up to the mile for the first time. Will need a bit of luck from the barrier, but he's good enough to feature if he can stretch to the mile. HE'S ARCHIE (5) is better than he showed last start when tackling a much stronger race over the mile at Pinjarra. He's been competitive in Saturday races earlier this campaign and while the draw is sticky, his form suggests he's in this up to his ears. TOKYO FIRE (8) can improve quickly out to the mile second-up. SIDE SHOW (10) is better than he showed last start and can bounce back.
