Verdict

DEEP LYRIC (3) sets the standard after two narrow Belmont seconds to start her career, beaten a nose on heavy ground on debut before missing by a head in Saturday company when well found in betting. She has already placed at this trip and that exposed form makes her the horse to beat fresh. MAESTRA (6) is the danger with upside, both Ascot runs were better than the finishing positions suggest, particularly when finishing off from the rear after beginning awkwardly before a spell. SALVE REGINA (2) has been costly to follow as an 11-start maiden, but her nose second at this track two runs back and repeated placings at this track and distance keep her firmly in the mix. MY TESTIMONY (4) resumed with a sound second at this venue, has placed five times from ten tries at the distance, and only has to hold that level second-up to be a genuine winning chance.
