MAYLEIGH (12) sharp improver at start three when she swooped late with a game second over 6f at Gosford. Should appreciate the roomier Newcastle track and has each-way prospects. LET'S BE HONEST (14) resumes from a five-month break after showing enough in her first preparation. Wasn't pushed out in the two trials and the blinkers go on from the low draw. Don't underestimate. SASQUA (3) showed good speed on debut from the awkward draw with a tenacious third over 6f at Port Macquarie. Looks up to this and has the speed to get across from the sticky gate. SEVEN WONDERS (7) locally trained and showed enough on resumption with a tiring fifth over 6f at Gosford. Suited with the claim and expected to go forward again. The chances don't end there.
