SCANDAL GIRL (3) brings the strongest recent form after a second at this track, beaten a length and a half by Kikotsu, and her previous fourth also had merit after she worked home well from midfield. The first try around 7 ½f is the main question, but she has the right profile to take this out. RAY SPRINT (8) is the obvious danger, having placed in all three starts at this venue, including a second to Halyard last start after being sent out a prohibitive odds-on favourite. VENTO CIELO (7) has been around the mark without winning and his previous late work suggests the 7 ½f may give him scope to improve, though the trip is untried. CALM RING (6) was plain last start but her close second two back reads well enough to keep her in the mix, especially with prior placing form at the distance.
