SUN THREAD (3) built on a nice second two starts back at Kawasaki with success as favourite over 7f at this track four weeks ago, getting home by 1.5 lengths. Tackling a deeper field this time but he is good enough to figure in the finish. TSUGANO SHOGUN (5) showed early speed from a good draw and led until entering the straight last start, eventually holding on for third and beaten 0.6 lengths over 7f at this track. Should go well. BEER BOY (7) returned from a spell three-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 9 lengths into eighth over 7 ½f at this track. Has a fair record when second up, including two top-three finishes. Strips fitter and can go on to take this out. VALLUMNOS (4) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 7 ½f at Kawasaki, beaten 14 lengths into ninth. Nicely placed to find some form.
