VELOS (9) is clearly the one they have to beat after dominant back-to-back C3 wins at this track, most recently scoring by seven lengths from Marron Fuerte as a dominant favourite. Her record at this track and distance is the strongest profile in the race, and the Takuto Iketani pairing has produced regularly. REIWA EPOCH (4) brings a different form line after a second over 6f at Funabashi, beaten a length by Thinking Fursa, and her broader 7f record says the return to this trip is no concern. WALDBUHNE (12) has been unwanted in betting at recent runs but did pick up nicely into fifth last start and owns a win at this track and distance, so he has the profile to improve fourth-up. THOR TESORO (7) has put together a second and third at Urawa, was close last start behind Aeolian Ridge, and has enough 7f substance to be a genuine danger if he brings that form to this venue.
