ZELE NODUS (7) sets the standard after consecutive Kanazawa placings, most recently second to Kaiser Leon in C2 grade when beaten a length and a half and well found in betting. Her 7f record, with one win and two placings from four starts at the distance, gives her the strongest proven profile and the class drop only strengthens the case. IMPARABLE (9) has the upside to make it a contest, having placed on debut at this track despite being beaten eight and a half lengths after working home from a long way back. The query is that 7f is new, but she was respected in an open market and returns with scope. LOVE MESSAGE (1) has been costly to trust as a 15-start maiden, yet her fourth behind Pure Chrome was an improvement on a tailed-off prior run and the weight relief helps her place claims. MACHIDANO CHIEKO (2) was safely held fifth behind Pure Chrome first-up, but second-up improvement from a low draw can bring her into the minor-money discussion.
