STEPS AHEAD (8) has been narrowly beaten at his past two starts, including over this track and trip two starts ago. Hewitson hops in the saddle today however after partnering him first-up. Visors replace the blinkers and with a touch of luck from the gate, he can go one better. BEAUTY CRESCENT (12) made it three on-end last start at this track and trip and he's had two trials since that effort 42 days ago. He's looked very good in his heats and he profiles nicely for a race like this down 7.5kgs. Maps to be prominent and Chung can make the most of that light weight. LIGHT YEARS CHARM (2) finished off nicely last start in The Celebration Cup and has also been back to the trials since. He's been kept up to the mark and Purton was on board for his latest outing. Can sit closer to day and return to his best form. CHIU CHOW SPIRIT (9) is racing well without winning recently and now drops in weight today. His latest trial was very impressive, so he's not to be discounted.
