GROUPER (4) was impressive on debut on a deteriorating surface, sitting on the speed and missing by 0.5L as a $13 chance. James McDonald rides now in a big push for his chances and he draws a better gate. Expected to have come on from the debut effort and can go one better. RIDING HIGH (12) is racing in good order, holding his own in C4 since his last win here on New Years Day in easier company. He'll carry no weight after the claim of Nichola Yuen and he has enough speed to get across from the draw. Appears the main danger. CONRAD PATCH (1) will need some luck from the barrier, but he should appreciate getting back on top of the ground can see him turn in an improved effort. Still has upside and can raise the bar. PRESTIGE HALL (9) gets Ethan Brown on board now and can flash home from back in the pack.
