Verdict

The first Griffin race of the season and it's a tricky one to assess. PERFECT ONE (2) may be the standout on trial form, finishing second in a 5f turf heat at Conghua in March. His trial earlier this month on the All Weather was just fair, though he's shown enough for Purton to hop on board. That's a big push for his chances. SECRET INGREDIENT (5) improved nicely in his latest heat down the Sha Tin straight where he was hard ridden to finish third under Bentley. The English hoop remains in the saddle for his race debut today and he can make his presence felt. TALENTS CHAMPION (6) hit the line alongside Secret Ingredient in his last trial under Keith Yeung and that looks a good guide to this race. Draws the inside of the small field and he can be in the finish. GLORIOUS HERO (4) is next best.
