Verdict

CRIMSON FLASH (12) made it a hat-trick last start when a 0.8L victory over this course and distance in easier grade. Tougher here, but he drops 8kgs for the rise in grade and he has the speed to work across from the draw. Ticks plenty of boxes and can continue his winning run. MAGIC CONTROL (2) wasn't far away in the G3 here back in October before a disappointing run over 6f last time out. McDonald rides now on the back of a nice trial and the outside draw is perfect for him. Can bounce back to winning ways without surprising. COLOURFUL KING (4) is knocking on the door of another win, beaten 0.3L at Happy Valley lasty time out. Purton takes the ride now and he's only had one crack down the Sha Tin Straight. Expecting him to be in the finish once again. AURORA LADY (11) is better than we saw last time out and can bounce back down in the weights.
