Verdict

ROBOT STAR (2) landed midfield from the draw last start and landed the knockout blow, jumping favourite and winning by 0.3L. Out to the mile now looks a good move and Purton sticks with him today. Should be able to run out the extra furlong and can bring up back-to-back wins. THE GOLDEN KNIGHT (3) finished off impressively to just miss in a photo finish here a fortnight ago and is on the cusp of a maiden win. Bowman takes the ride again today and he may be able to sit a touch closer than he has in recent starts. Can go one better this time around without surprising. SMART FAT CAT (7) is another still looking for his maiden win, but he's been close in his last four runs. McDonald rides now and another forward showing is on the cards. BLAZING WUKONG (1) hasn't been far away in recent efforts and makes plenty of appeal as he drops in grade.
