Verdict

LUCKY SYMPHONY (1) settled on the speed last start and couldn't go on, beaten 2.8L at the finish when jumping the race favourite. He form prior to that was very good, winning here by 1.8L. His recent trial suggests he's back on song and he can return to winning ways. PATCH OF TIME (3) got back to form last start at Happy Valley when beaten 2L at the Valley most recently. He's raced well here previously and he has the speed to roll across from a wide barrier. Best form is good enough and he can put his best foot forward. AEROVOLANIC (2) had trialled well coming into his debut and while he didn't have the best of luck in on straightening, he was too good late in the race. There's no reason why he can't go on with the job with Ellis Wong in red-hot form of late. On the way up and can continue to work through the grades. HOT AIR BALLON (5) has shown some good signs at the trials in readiness for his debut. Bowman remains from his latest trial and he can play a role.
