He closed strongly, suggesting 7f now is no issue and Purton hopping on board is a big push for his chances. CALIFORNIA WAVES (4) is the established danger after closing to within half a length of Lady's Love last start, with a solid 7f record giving his form more substance than most. JUST FOLLOW ME (12) was well found in betting first-up and gets the first-time visor, while his two placings at this track and distance keep him firmly in play despite still chasing a maiden win. STAR SATYR (14) had excuses when fourth to Solid Car, hit the line strongly late, and brings the track-and-distance win that makes him a genuine threat if he gets clearer room.
