CROSSBORDERDUDE (6) continues to improve with racing, missing by 0.5L over the 7f at this track. Purton hops in the saddle for the first time today as he drops back in trip. May needs some luck from the draw, but finds a winnable race and can get the job done this time. DASHING PEACH (7) has claims here on debut following some nice trials coming into this event. It looks as though he'll be better over further, but he draws nicely for Leung and with more speed on offer on race day, that'll suit him much better. Can make a positive start to his career. MABUBU (1) had trialled below par leading into his debut before getting the job done 70 days ago. He's trialled in similar fashion coming into this for Ho who remains in the saddle. He's a hard horse to get a gauge on but he'll be hard to hold out if he's on song. MERLION (8) is not out of this on debut with Bowman in the saddle from an inside draw.
