Verdict

CIRCUIT CHAMPION (9) just missed fresh and then bolted in last start at this track and trip, scoring by 2.3L as the equal fav. He comes into this off a similar setup with an impressive trial recently. Up in grade here but that doesn't look an issue on his latest performance and he can continue to work through the grades. CITY GOLD BANNER (4) bolted in in his HK debut before jumping favourite and never getting into the race last time out. He was very strong through the line there however and the rise to 6f looks ideal. His recent trial was solid and with the aid of an inside draw, he'll be hard to hold out. LIFELINE EXPRESS (6) draws much better today after finishing strongly from back in the field in his recent performances. Won't be far away. SOUTH STAR (1) will be better over further, though this looks a good kickoff point for him.
