MATZDEN (2) finished off well from midfield last start after being slightly slow into stride. Bowman hops on board today and this looks to shape similarly to his latest effort. Rates highly on the back of his latest performance and can end his winning drought this time. SPIRITED STEED (8) gets Purton in the saddle on debut after partnering him in his latest outing. That's a big push for his chances and he showed good ability in his latest outing. Can feature in the finish on debut. BRIGHT DAY (4) finished off strongly in soggy conditions last week at Happy Valley, beaten 1.5L. Back onto a bigger track today should help and his recent form stacks right up. Just needs to bring that form to Sha Tin to go close to winning. NORTHERN FIRE BALL (1) disappointed last time out but has trialled well since that effort. Can find the front and be tough to run down with Yuen getting him down in the weights.
