COURIER MAGIC (1) bumped into a big winner first-up before a narrow defeat here last time out. He can sit closer today from a softer gate and Purton reunites with the gelding. Ticks plenty of boxes today and he looks set to peak third-up into the campaign. APOLAR FIGHTER (4) bolted in two back before a narrow defeat last start at this track and trip just last week. On the quick turnaround today with Chau remaining in the saddle, and he should get every chance from an inside barrier. Expected to be in the finish once again. GALE SAGA (2) went onto the All Weather last start and didn't fire a shot behind a dominant winner. Back to this track and trip looks a good move as he drops in grade and gets J-Mac in the saddle. Plenty to like about him. STERLING WONGCHOY (3) wasn't far away last start as favourite and can put his best foot forward with Bowman now riding in easier company.
