Verdict

LUKER'S TIPPLE is no battler and has been expensive to follow but his defeat to the subsequent Sefton winner Zeus Power at Thurles when last seen in this sphere obviously looks much better now and he's worth another chance on the back of a run on the Flat. Game Point can build on a promising hurdles debut at Sligo, while French recruit Lureka du Noyer could have more to offer for his new stable.

Luker's Tipple (Ire) silk

Has finished runner-up 7 times in this sphere, including behind the subsequent Sefton winner Zeus Power on latest start over hurdles at Thurles (2m) in December, finding more than has often been the case. Should be better for last month's Flat run and has tongue tie back on here. The one to beat.

Lureka Du Noyer (Fr) silk

Fairly useful form over fences in France at up to 2¾m (also showed plenty in 3 runs over hurdles this time last year). Raced mainly on soft/heavy going so these conditions are an unknown but he could do better for new yard.
