The way in which CAVOLO NERO stuck to his task on handicap debut at Newmarket a fortnight ago strongly suggests 1m will suit and with that in mind, he looks the answer having been raised 2 lb. Criminal Shore and Last Shamardal occupied the first 2 positions in a Ripon handicap recently and they can remain competitive, but a bigger threat may emerge in the shape of Virtue Patience.
