Verdict

There were positives to take from JOLIE BAIE's latest effort and she could be the answer to this trappy-looking contest. Sweet Magic hasn't fired so far this season but she's edged down to an attractive mark and will be a threat if able to bounce back. Innisfree Lass returned to form back over hurdles at Southwell and she has to be taken seriously, too.

Jolie Baie (Fr) silk

Developed into a fair handicap hurdler last term, scoring at Ffos Las and Lingfield. Hasn't managed to scale those heights so far this season but latest effort at Huntingdon (25f, heavy) represented a step back in the right direction (since undergone another breathing op) and she's now 2 lb lower.

Sweet Magic (Ire) silk

Yet to win a race and efforts so far this season have lacked spark. On the upside, her mark is on the slide (runner-up twice off higher marks last term) and she would have a serious chance if back to something like her best.

Innisfree Lass (Ire) silk

Seemingly revived by return to hurdles when landing extended 3m Southwell handicap last month, enhancing her good record at that course in the process. 5 lb rise fair enough and of strong interest here with a capable conditional in the hot-seat.
