Verdict

GUADALEVIN ran her best race when sixth of 8 in a listed contest at Sandown on her latest outing, even with things not going her way, and she looks to hold leading claims back in novice company. The biggest threat could come from Diamond New Bay, who can step forward from her first run, with Ma Blushin Rosie one to note on debut.

Horse Racing Basic Terms

Bobble/Stumble

A slip or a duck from a horse trying to leave the starting gates, often caused by the surface giving way under the feet. This can range from a mild misstep to a stumble down to their knees.

Paddock

The area where horses gather before the race to be saddled and paraded for the public.

Also Eligible

A horse that is entered but does not draw into the body of the field due to too many entries, and thus is not permitted to start unless there are enough scratches to shrink the field size.
