Verdict

Plenty in with a chance but BELLE LE GRAND beat a subsequent winner with plenty in hand last time and she's fancied to defy a 7 lb rise. Winds of Winter thrived at this track last summer and is entitled to go close if back in that sort of form, while Gordon Elliott's Dunsy Rock may well improve on her handicap debut. My Chiquita deserves an honourable mention for a yard that does well here.

Belle Le Grand silk

Thriving when successful in a C&D novice this time last year and looked back in rude health when capitalising on a drop in grade with ease at Newton Abbot last time. Runner-up has subsequently franked the form, and she has strong claims to make it a double.

Winds Of Winter (Ire) silk

Enjoyed a highly productive time of things last summer, only narrowly denied a third course victory off a 3 lb higher mark in August. Likely still needed the run at Hexham (33/1) last time and makes plenty of appeal returning to this track.

Dunsy Rock (Ire) silk

Built on debut promise when winning a fairly useful maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse (2m, heavy) in February. Found the step up to listed company too much at Killarney last time, but she's in excellent hands and remains with potential now handicapping.
