KERETI (1) continued his consistent form when finishing a solid second at Hawera nearly 3 weeks ago after racing prominently throughout, following a deserved victory at this track the start prior. He has never missed a place in four appearances here and, he should be right in the finish again. MEGLIO DI FALCREST (3) has not won for some time, but has collected 4 placings from 6 starts this prep, including another runner-up effort over 7f here a fortnight ago. She steps up in class but still a top 3 chance. SAM'S TURN (4) battled on well for fourth over 6 ½f at this track last start. He can make full use of the pole position, and having Lisa Allpress in the saddle is another bonus. He looks well placed to have a big say in the finish of this race.
