AU2 - Carrick - Race 8

CELEBRITY ROYAL (1) impressed when fresh from a spell last time out when successful over 1m at Hobart on January 11, getting home by 3.5 metres. Has the benefit of a good draw. Meeting a deeper field this time but he is up to the challenge. MAEBEE (2) is in good form with top-five finishes at his last seven starts, most recently recording a second over 1 ¹¹/16m at Burnie. Sure to enjoy an economical run from this draw. This should be an easier assignment so he is sure to prove tough to beat again. KEAYANG FITZY (8) found form and finished in the money two runs ago then came back to earth when he broke and finished ninth last start over 1 ¹¹/16m at Burnie, coming home 25 metres from the winner. May need luck at some stage extracting from the inside of the second row. Finds a nice race and can make up for that last start mishap. LYNRYD SKYNRYD (7) is worth some thought based on his third over 1m at Hobart two runs ago.
