ZEUS LIGHTNING (3) brings strong form from Menangle where he cruised home fresh before finishing 2.2 metres away when tackling a good bunch of the three-year-olds last start. Ended last campaign with a fourth in the NSW Derby having earlier won a heat of that series. Targeting bigger races here over the carnival and from a good draw should be too good for these. UNCLE TONY (2) came from the back row and scored at his most recent outing by a nose in a nice return to form at this circuit and distance. Draws well so could be best of the rest. COSMIC FLYER (9) who has been ticking along well with three top-four results since a Redcliffe win. Trifecta hope. HELL IM SMOOTH (5) was a fourth at his most recent appearance here. Solid record at this longer distance so include for exotics.
