BEACH DANCER (3) went back last start then worked into the race well before the turn to finish just 1.2 metres from the winner in second at Melton over 1 ¹/16m, almost adding to his fine win at Bendigo two runs back. A nice draw on the front line should ensure a cosy run. This doesn't look as hard so he is a major player. GLENVIEW LANIKAI (4) continued her impressive run of recent efforts last start when runner-up over 1 5/16m at Carrick, beaten 10 metres. Meets a comparable field and she can add to the solid recent record. ROCKY STRIDE (10) is worth plenty of thought off a last-start all of the way win by 1.2 metres at this track over 1m. OZZIE PEARL (2) cannot be left out after solid recent performances, the latest a sound fourth at this track over 1m.
