Verdict

KAIRAKI DELIGHT (2) went back from a wider barrier and couldn't get into the action last start but he is much better served by this barrier and also enjoys a class drop. Kicked off the campaign with a second here last month and could find that sort of form again. CAPTAIN BART (4) has been most impressive of late and made it two wins in a row when coming from wider to score at his latest appearance at this circuit and distance, getting home by 3.4 metres. A rise in grade is offset by a better draw so could land the hat trick. RAGING WHITEBAIT (8) cops the outside barrier but has been tackling higher-graded races of late so is better off in this company with even luck. MICK DANGER (3) showed improvement for a respectable third at his most recent appearance at this circuit and distance and draws well again.
