BARNABY (1) drew a wide gate last start and was never a genuine threat, beaten 19 metres into fifth at Menangle over 1m. Tackles a similar assignment and from this more favourable draw he can feature in the finish. HAY MIKI (6) put together a series of minor placings then displayed pleasing improvement last start on April 12 over 1 m at this track, getting home by 4 metres. That latest effort is good enough to take out a race like this. IAMAHUNTER (2) is in the mix following a fifth at his most recent appearance over 1 m at this track. ROCKY STRIDE (3) has been about the mark of late and must be respected, the latest offering a sound fourth at this track over 1 ?m.
