Verdict

THE PRIESTESS (13) was far from disgraced when she came from the outside barrier for fifth against the good mares in the Group 1 Macarthur Mile last start. Had won three in a row prior, coming from the widest barrier to score at this circuit and distance two back. Gives away ¼f at the handicap but will relish the class drop. LOTUS LOUISE (12) hasn't raced since a fourth at Listed level last September and had strong form here prior. Has won both previous fresh attempts and has been readied with two trials. VALTINO (10) did well to overcome a break and finish second, beaten 4 metres here a week ago. Has performed well at standing starts before and should be close to his peak now. ITZFERGIETIME (14) has been ticking along well including a placing here last week. Can feature again.
