MIGHTY FLYING ART (1) took advantage of a much better draw to lead and find winning form again in his latest outing at this circuit. Beat a subsequent city winner so the form stacks up. Has early speed so will relish the ace draw and hasn't missed the placings in nine starts here, winning five. OUR VINCENT CAN GOGH (9) has come from wider draws on this row when tackling strong company in his last two outings including a fourth in the G2 Ballarat Cup. Should enjoy a nice trail and his record at the distance is strong. Big chance down in grade. CAPTAINS CATCH (5) has placed in three of four starts from back row draws since missing by a nose when off a similar barrier to this here last month. Go well again. SKINNYDIP (6) was a Melton winner three back and has won a trial since he last raced. Has a strong record here so can measure up.
