ZEEZEEZOOM (3) was responsible for a very good effort last time over 1 m at this track, finishing second and just 1.1 metres from the winner. No excuses from this advantageous draw. This doesn't look as hard so she is sure to prove tough to beat. CHARMAWAY (1) resumes here after closing her last prep with a ninth at Redcliffe on December 3. Has ability and should be right in the finish. DOUG STEWART (2) was responsible for a better effort last time out when third over 1 m at this track. Should run a big race. MY ULTIMATE FRANCO (4) was in the money two starts ago then things went wrong last start when he broke following interference and finished a long last over 1 m at this track. This doesn't look as hard so he is capable of turning things around.

Scratch

A horse is a scratch when injury or other necessity causes it to be withdrawn from the race.

Claiming Race

A race in which horses are entered for a certain price, or claiming tag, which is also their sales price. An owner can claim any horse entered for the tag before the race begins, and owns them as soon as the gates open.

Main Track Only

A horse entered for main track only (MTO) is one hoping the weather forecast or track conditions will move the race off the turf course and onto the main track. They are scratched the morning of the race if the conditions stay dry.
