Verdict

FREAK OUT (2) looks close to a win having placed in his last three outings, last time coming from wider and working but sticking on for a 1.4m second at Kilmore. The good draw gives him the chance to break through. PICKLE IT (1) is another with the hoof on the till after placing in two of three starts so far this campaign. Led from a few spots wider and sticking on for a 1.5m second at Geelong last week. Should be nearing peak fitness now and has the speed to take advantage of the ace draw. Hard to knock the consistency of MIDNITE DESIRE (5) who has put together a string of top-three finishes. Came from the back row to be beaten only 1.8m last start and was a Cranbourne winner three back. MIKI MARK (8) draws for a trail and could be dangerous with the sprint lane in play.
