Likely to run a big race to kick off this campaign. SAPPHIRE GAMBLER (3) finished second last start over 1 ¼m at Hobart, beaten 7 metres, after a good win at Hobart the run prior. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is capable of a return to winning ways. COLBY SANZ (9) is the next elect off a last-start win by a head at this track over 1 ?m. ALBERIO (1) broke last start but still managed to fill a minor placing over 1 ¼m at Hobart, finishing 13 metres from the winner. That was a pleasing progression after missing the placings the run before. Facing a tougher assignment but another big run is likely.
