SPRINGFIELD RIVER (9) is a promising colt unbeaten in two starts, both of them coming at this distance. Cruised home as a hot favourite at Maryborough last time and came from this row when scoring on debut prior. Can maintain the perfect record. THESTING (10) cops a tricky draw but looks to have ability after he debuted impressively last start, scoring by 2 metres at this circuit and distance. Has plenty of scope for improvement. RIVER STORM (11) drops in grade off the Vicbred Super Series. Freshened since but was kept up to the mark with a trial win. BROADWAY OBSESSION (1) improved to win the maiden last start and has drawn to advantage so could give backers a sight.
