MATT DAN (8) led as a hot favourite and fought on to finish a head from the winner in third when making his debut at this circuit and distance last week. Hails from a leading yard and is open to natural improvement. Can travel in a nice spot from this draw and wait on the sprint lane if necessary so can make the breakthrough. HARRY THE HAT (4) has been racing well of late and looks close to a win after finishing second at his last two appearances at this circuit and distance, coming from this barrier last week to be beaten a head. Big chance to break through. STRADDIE BABE (1) has been freshened since she produced a good effort on debut, coming from the back row to place. Has trialled since and gets the ace draw. LONG AWAITED (7) placed in a Breeders Classic heat on debut before a fifth in the final last start. Draws wide but better placed.
