ROSES ARE BEST (3) was far from disgraced when midfield in stronger company last start at Newcastle. Had placed in two of her previous three outings at that same venue. Likely to get all the favours from this nice draw and finds a suitable assignment. THREE PARTS GREY (2) has been competitive of late with a third and a fourth in the last two outings, both from this barrier. Primary contender. BENJIMAGEE (6) draws a couple of spots wider but was good last start when he led and stuck on for a 2.4m third at Narrabri. BARRYS BROTHER (8) may need a touch of luck from the back row but was solid after working last start.
