AU2 - Mildura - Race 1

MY ULTIMATE JIMMY (3) did a great job in the SA Derby last start when he drew on the back row and raced up to three wide without cover but fought strongly to go under by just a nose. Has won three of five attempts at this circuit and distance and should get his chance from this draw. CLYMENUS (6) was good when he came from this barrier and finished fourth last start at Swan Hill, beaten 3.2 metres in a higher-graded race than this. Big chance. AVOCA BLUES (2) draws well and is had to knock off a series of wins or placings at this venue, coming from a wider barrier for a 1.9m second in the last outing a month ago. EARL OF PEMBROKE (8) draws on the back row but has been tackling stronger races at Melton and is proven at this venue and distance.
