PHOEBE ONYX (9) showed plenty of courage at his latest appearance over 1 ¼m at Port Pirie when he scored by a neck after being on the pace throughout. Primary contender in this comparable race. MADAME KELLY (3) has been racing well of late. Finished third at her latest appearance over 1 ¼m at Port Pirie, beaten 2 metres. Meets a comparable field and she is a strong winning hope. MEADOW VALLEY STAR (8) did a good job to finish in the minor placings two runs back then things went sour last time when he broke following interference and finished a long way back in eighth over 1 ¹/16m at Melton. This doesn't look as hard so he is capable of turning things around. HAYOAK (5) must be included on the back of some solid recent form, most recently when second at Gawler over 1 ¼m.
