The recent form of FRANCO MACHO (1) may not leap off the page but he has been drawing wide so has had to go back in the field. Led and fought on for a string of placings from lower draws earlier in the campaign so has the speed to take advantage of the inside barrier. EDWARD JAY (7) did a good job to finish second here two starts ago then recorded a comfortable win last time out, coming from the back line and scoring by almost 10 metres at this circuit and distance. Must overcome a very wide draw but he is racing well. LITTLELIONELJAMES (6) is drawn deeper than last start but did a good job there, posting a win by 4.7 metres at this circuit and distance. TAKE A CHANCE (5) is a player again after coming from a similar draw for a last-start win by 1.4 metres at this venue.
