ILLAWONG DANNY (7) has been tackling stronger races of late and has had some tough draws, starting from the extreme outside last start at Menangle. Runner-up in a higher-graded race three back at Newcastle and put together a string of wins earlier in the campaign. Could show his best in this line-up. ALLSOPP (6) performed well from the back row in his last two outings in the Golden Guitar series, placing in a heat before copping a check and breaking when fourth in the consolation. Draws wide but scored a win at this venue the last time he started on the front line. HEZA DOOZIE (5) came from wider than this to win at Newcastle four back and could be close to another success after solid efforts in his last two appearances. ASHLEYS BLUE CHIP (1) has been coming from wider or second row barriers so can do much better.
