Has had seven months off but was readied with two trials, winning the latest. Looks bound for better things. MCBART (1) is an interesting new addition to the Jason Grimson stable having switched from Victoria since kicking off his career with a 9m win at Terang two weeks ago. Overcame a back row barrier there and should enjoy an economical run from the ace draw. Has plenty of upside and could make a race of it. SOHO WASHINGTON (7) enjoys a class drop off a midfield finish in a NSW Derby heat and was beaten only 3.5m at this circuit and distance prior. CALZAGHE (5) is also better placed after finishing fifth in a Derby heat last start.
