OAKIE SMOKESHOW (5) is a progressive gelding who has come from wider barriers to win over this distance the two times he has raced at this venue so far this campaign. Takes a step up in grade but draws lower and is race fit so could go on with it. BOLD MEDLEY JUJON (9) led last time out and boxed on for fourth in a better performance at Penrith last time out. May need a bit of luck negotiating a very wide starting position but is a two-time third-up winner so is open to further improvement. RUDY GEE (2) led from wider in a last-start win by 8.4 metres at Newcastle. Can give a sight. ROCKTAGONAL (7) is up in grade but tough to leave out on the back of two successive wins at Tamworth.
