TAKEN BY SURPRISE (5) has been in the placings two times from as many runs this campaign. Went well again last time over 1 ¹/16m at Redcliffe, finishing second and 5 metres from the winner. Meeting a deeper field this time but she has the ability to mix it with them. LANEYS LAST (1) didn't do a bad job when fifth over 1 ?m at this track last time out. STONES (6) will be rock-hard fit after four runs back from a spell, the latest effort a third at Albion Park a week-and-a-half ago.
