Verdict

SCAR (3) looks close to another win after back-to-back seconds, both from this barrier. Recorded a strong performance last start when he worked to the front then battled on bravely to go under by 1.4m at Cranbourne. Proven at this circuit and distance. Big chance to return to the winners' stall. GOLDEN SKIES (1) has produced some solid efforts since coming from wider to win four back at Ballarat, last time drawing on the back row for fourth at Kilmore. Should have no excuses from the ace draw and won the only time she attempted this circuit and distance. MIDNITE MUSCLE (11) continues a run of second row draws but won from there last month at Bendigo and has finished runner-up twice since. Go well again. TIPPLE TIME (10) will be fitter for recent racing and can make an impact if things go her way from the back row.
