ANGELS WATCHING (7) was without a win before displayed pleasing improvement last start to score by 8 metres over 1 ¹/16m at this track two weeks ago. Gets a soft run on the inside of the second line but may need luck at some point. That latest effort is good enough to take out a race like this. CALF PEN (4) has been racing well of late. Finished fifth at his latest appearance over 1 ¹/16m here, beaten 7 metres. This is a nice drop in grade so he is a major player. A ROCKNROLL JET (3) is on the radar after his last-start sixth over 1 5/16m at Charlton a week-and-a-half ago. Top-three aspirations from the low draw. HOOKLINEANDSINKER (2) will be rock-hard fit after three runs back from a spell, the latest effort a sixth at Riverina Paceway two weeks ago. Include in exotics.
