Verdict

BLAKE BOLAC (7) is back after a spell of 11 months but is a strong fresh performer with two wins and a placing from four attempts. Won his lone try at this circuit and distance and was close up in a recent trial so while drawn wide he should be ready to go. NEW YORKER (4) was completely outclassed in the Shepparton Cup but was chasing Kingman and Leap To fame so most horses would've suffered the same fate. Much better placed so could bounce back. JET ROCK (3) hasn't raced since placing in a Vicbred Super Series race at Bendigo two-and-a-half years ago but has won two recent trials so looks to be back in good order. Keep safe from a good draw. CURYO GENTLEMAN (8) broke last start but still managed to fill a minor placing at Wedderburn. Draws for a trail and can feature with manners.
