Verdict

WHATA OPTIMIST (5) has been racing well of late and has the hoof on the till. Finished second at his latest appearance over this distance at Kapunda, beaten 2.5 metres. Finds a suitable assignment and could grab a well-deserved win. ROCKNROLL YANKEE (1) is in good form. Clocked in fourth at his latest appearance over 1m at Gawler, beaten 3.5 metres after racing parked. Has the benefit of the inside draw. Winning hope. MALACHITE ROCK (6) returns to the front row and won at this venue the last time he started from there. A better draw can see an improved showing from CLARENDEN LEGACY (2).
